The Celestron Super Polaris is a handsome and well-regarded Equatorial Mount that has a secret: it can be set up in easy-to-point Alt-Az mode!
The wooden Tripod looks great indoors.
While not a GoTo mount, it can include drives on both axes. Release the clutches, for the "big slews" and then use the slow-motions controls or the hand controller for the fine adjustments.
Aligned North, it will track any object you point to. The Vixen DD-3 Controller and MT-1 motors allow autoguiding; this is a legit astrophotography mount
The polar scope allows tight alignment on the North Celestial Pole (right off Polaris).
My mount has a Farpoint Astro Vixen Saddle for easy scope mounting/dismounting. The original saddle was odd (non-standard). The Celestron Great Polaris mounts improved upon the Super Polaris by conforming to the standard Vixen saddle standard.
