  Location:        Jon's place in Boulevard
Weather: Cold, clear (only clear night in a long time).
People: Jon, me
Equipment: UC18 (first time in a while, first dark with the refigured 17.5")
Goals going in: Simply not miss another new moon.

Summary

A nice night.  Somewhat spontaneous.  Jon called about something, I checked the Clear Sky Chart and it looked good.  Leigh and I played tennis first, but then Jon came over.  UC was much much easier to pack up than the Starmaster.

Good dark night.  I hadn't observed with the UC in a while.  Laser was not working.  It was really hard to star hop.  Didn't really see anything new, but it was nice.  Jon was testing his new ES AR102 and thought it was a pretty solid scope for $299 well-equipped (in spite of the bulbous dew sheild).
