Goals going in:

Show some stuff.

Summary

Brought out the XT8i (without the finder or the computer).  Was able to show everyone the Hercules Cluster, the Andromeda Galaxy, the Double Cluster, Alberio and Jupiter.  Considering that a week earlier I wasn't able to find any of the dims, I was impressed that I was able to.  I guess two nights out East makes a difference in being able to find DSO's.

Funny:

New in-house running joke is "But how about some KLEENEX!"
Its origin is: our dinner guests were indulging me in the garage by checking out the new giant scope, feigning interest, yada yada. Leigh says "Hey, I have some boxes of free Kleenex and some non-latex gloves. Anybody want some?" It was like free samples at Costco, people shoving and elbowing. Meanwhile I'm standing over by scope with the "Where'd everybody go?" look.
