Been doing a lot of observing with my
Coronado PST. I added a white light filter to my Orion XT8i and
attached the PST to it via tube rings. The setup works very nice:
white light and H-alpha side by side, just move your head about a foot
to go back and forth. Currently I'm using a Double-Stacked PST.
Going from <1.0 angstrom to <0.5 makes a dramatic difference in picking
up surface detail. I used to say I preferred prominences
primarily, but that was because at 1.0 angstrom, you can't see hardly
any surface detail. |
